Gasparailla Music Festival: Dawes, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears, Lord Huron added to lineup
We're getting more and more details about the second annual Gasparilla Music Festival on March 9, and we like what we're hearing.
Dawes, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears and Lord Huron have all been added to the festival, joining previously announced big name Ozomatli. Local acts (and former tbt* Ultimate Local Artists) Nervous Turkey and The Hip Abduction will also perform.
It's a great slate. Dawes, acclaimed young Californians with a Laurel Canyon sound, are past tourmates of Mumford and Sons and Alison Krauss. Soul-infused Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears made our list of the best acts of Bonnaroo 2011. And Rolling Stone pegged folk group Lord Huron as a band to watch in late 2012. And organizers promise to book at least one more headliner, in addition to many smaller and local acts.
Advance tickets are $25 ($75 VIP) and can be purchased via the festival's website. Click here for details.
