'Glee's Matthew Morrison coming to the Straz Center in Tampa
The thing about Glee is, when one of its stars decides to go out and record an album on his own, it's tough to fault him. The stars of Glee can actually sing, see -- that's how they got the job in the first place. It's not like Russell Crowe going out on tour with 30 Odd Foot of Grunts or something.
So when we hear that Glee star Matthew Morrison, a.k.a. Will Schuester, a.ka. Mr. Schue, is making an album and going on tour, we have to say ... good for him? And when we hear that his tour is coming to Tampa, we have to say ... yay?
Okay, fine, we admit it, we don't watch Glee. But we're sure all the Gleeks out there will be stoked about Morrison's show on July 10 at the Straz Center in Tampa. He'll be performing songs from his upcoming solo album as well as a few Glee fan favorites.
And in a way, he'll be bringing his McKinley High Glee Club director to life. As part of a promotion with the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, Morrison is offering regional glee clubs the chance to open the show. He'll be accepting entries on his website starting April 8. Click here for details.
Tickets to the Straz show will go onsale April 15, starting at $48.50. Straz members will have the opportunity to buy tickets starting Monday (4/4). Click here for all the details.
