Gov. Charlie Crist: Pardoning Jim Morrison 'the right thing to do'
The final, strange days of Jim Morrison's life played out in Paris, France. Tallahassee is no Paris, but it looks like outgoing Gov. Charlie Crist will see his term as Governor end in Doors-like fashion, too.
In case you haven't heard, Crist is strongly considering pardoning the Doors frontman -- who lived in Clearwater, attended Florida State and has a storied history with the Sunshine State -- for exposing himself to a Miami audience in 1969.
"The more I looked into it, the more I felt the right thing to do would be to try bring about a pardon," Crist said Tuesday in an interview with the St. Petersburg Times. "And I've reached that conclusion now, that's what I'm going to do."
