Help out local artist Tim Eddy at a benefit show Sunday in St. Pete

Seminole saxman Tim Eddy has performed with a slew of local bands, including the Black Honkeys, TNB, the Swingin' Mooks, the Chicken Chasers and many more.

He is unfortunately being treated for atrial fibrillation, but there's one good thing about having lots of friends in bands -- when the bills start piling up, they're all too happy to put on a benefit show.

Dozens of Eddy's friends and fellow artists will gather for a daylong benefit show Sunday at Ringside Cafe, 2742 Fourth St. N, St. Petersburg.

This show is full of rock, blues, funk, jazz and jam, and it'll basically go on forever (okay, fine, 2 p.m. to 1 a.m.). The lineup, from top to bottom: Kirk Adams, Damon Fowler, the Funky Seeds, the Chicken Chasers, Chuck Drake, the Steve Arvey Horn Band, Wendy and the Soulshakers, TNB, Mike MacArthur and the Reinhardt Brothers, the Swingin' Mooks and Kickin' Again, with a horn band jam in the middle of the evening and a blues jam at 10:30 p.m.

For all that, organizers are only asking for a $5 donation. You can swing that, right?
