Inside the renovated St. Pete Times Forum: New party deck, cushy seats and indoor lightning (really!)

The next concert at the St. Pete Times Forum isn't until Oct. 28: Josh Groban. But the arena will open to the public on Monday for the Tampa Bay Lightning's home opener against the Florida Panthers.

What will you see when you walk inside?

A lot. The 15-year-old arena has undergone $40 million worth of improvements this offseason, including cushy new seats (with cup holders!) throughout the building, a grand new pipe organ in the upper deck, improved lighting throughout and our favorite new touch, a Tesla coil that can produce 25-foot blasts of lightning in the air. How cool is that? We can't wait to see if any artists try to make use of that unique feature. (Groban, we dare you to give it a shot.)
