Judas Priest coming to the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre in Tampa
It can be so hard to say goodbye.
Take Judas Priest. When the British metal legends announced a farewell tour in December, we knew it wouldn't be the last we'd see of them. We knew they were still plotting out a massive trek around the globe, and so it was way too soon to know if they would be coming anywhere near us.
Today, we have a better sense of just how big this farewell tour will be.
Judas Priest has announced on its website that its final world tour will make a pair of stops in Florida -- and one of them is Nov. 30 at Tampa's 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre. It's one of nearly 70 dates on the group's calendar between July and December.
It's very early, so there are no ticket details yet. But we do know passions will be high. When Judas Priest played the St. Pete Times Forum in 2009, only 5,531 fans turned out -- but our own Sean Daly called the show "an awesome, tinnitus-inducing assault on the senses." Soundcheck proclaimed it one of the best local concerts of 2009.
We'll keep you posted on ticket details when they become available.
