Kaskade, Pretty Lights, DJ Shadow, Disco Biscuits lead Identity Festival at 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre in Tampa

Bit by bit (that's a digital music joke ... kind of), we've been getting snippets of information on this summer's inaugural Identity Festival, a traveling electronic music festival that'll bring tons of dubstep, house, electro and indie-minded dance music to 20 cities around the country -- including Tampa on Aug. 24.

Today we have the most information yet about Tampa's identity stop, including a long-awaited lineup. And no matter what style of electronic music you like, you probably won't be disappointed.

Dubstep fans, and they are legion, will turn out for headliners Kaskade, Rusko and Datsik. Fans of electonic hip-hop will dig Pretty Lights and the Neptunes' Chad Hugo. The Disco Biscuits will give fans a taste of live jamtronica, and Australian sisters Nervo, above, will provide a little Ke$ha-style pop excess. Pitchfork-minded hipsters will dig Holy Ghost! and Hercules and Love Affair. And for the newbies out there, a couple of boldface-name DJs are also on the bill: Steve Aoki and DJ Shadow.

If none of the previous paragraph made any sense to you, well, you're probably not alone. A lot of these artists are still pretty underground. But with a traveling festival of this magnitude, playing a venue like the Gary, they may not stay that way for long.

Even though this festival will hit Tampa on a Wednesday, expect a ton of club kids to turn out. With 21 acts on three stages, it's the biggest electronic music event to hit Tampa in years.

Early bird tickets go onsale Friday through Sunday. There are no prices yet, but click here or check Ticketmaster for details.
