Katt Williams no-shows at the Tampa Bay Times Forum

On any other day of the year, we'd call shenanigans on the Tampa Bay Times Forum's claim that Katt Williams' extreme last-minute cancellation on Saturday night was due to "unforeseen travel issues incurred while the performer was in route to Tampa this evening.."

But with the entire Northeast blanketed in a blizzard, we must begrudgingly admit that's certainly possible (especially since that's also the reason given for his Jacksonville cancellation on Friday). Is it true? Who knows. This is Katt Williams we're talking about. If you bought a ticket to this show, you had to know there was a decent possibility he was going to flake out.

The doors had already been open for a while Saturday night when the Forum announced Williams wasn't coming out. "By the time we were going to be able to get him into our building, it was going to be too late," Forum spokeswoman Jessica Eckley said Monday. "We tried to handle it as quickly as efficiently as possible." Indeed, she said, fans were upset, but they reacted to the situation "very peacefully."

Saturday night's announcement said "Fans are encouraged to stay tuned for a new show date to be announced soon." But on Monday, Eckley said there's no make-up date yet, so anxious fans might want to go ahead and seek refunds.

Customers who purchased through Ticketmaster by phone or online will be automatically refunded. If you purchased tickets at a Ticketmaster outlet or at the Forum box office must do so in person during normal business hours. And if you purchased through a third party (i.e. StubHub), you'll need to contact that point of purchase.
