Katy Perry, Paramore, Adam Lambert lead Florida's year-end radio bashes

Sure, you're excited about the 97X Next Big Thing at the 1-800-ASK-GARY Amphitheatre on Dec. 5, and the 93.3-FLZ Jingle Ball at the St. Pete Times Forum on Dec. 12. Artists like My Chemical Romance, Maroon 5, Train, Enrique Iglesias and the Black Keys will all be coming to town to celebrate.

But those concerts are hardly the only year-end radio bashes within driving distance in Florida. In fact, Orlando and Miami are also bearing witness to some pretty big radio shows -- and they're getting some even bigger names, like Katy Perry, Paramore, Adam Lambert and the Goo Goo Dolls.

See, year-end radio shows are commonplace around the country. It's practically a cottage industry come early December. And since so may stations are owned by the same companies (Clear Channel and CBS Radio, for example), many of the shows have similar lineups, with just enough differences to keep you guessing.

Take, for example, Orlando's XL106.7 XL’ent Xmas. As with Tampa's Jingle Ball, Maroon 5, Train, Iglesias, Bruno Mars and B.o.B. are all on the lineup. But the show is spread over three days at the House of Blues, and they're also adding artists like Paramore, The Script, Hey Monday and Jay Sean.

Down in Miami, the Y100 Jingle Ball is one of the biggest radio shows in the country, and they've brought in a befittingly big name: Katy Perry. Selena Gomez, Adam Lambert, Flo Rida and Taio Cruz are also on the bill, along with Iglesias, Train and B.o.B.

Here's a recap of six of the biggest events, to help you keep track of things:
