Kenny Chesney coming to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa

This has been rumored for a long time, but until now, that's all it was: A rumor.

Today it's official. Kenny Chesney is headlining a blockbuster country concert at Raymond James Stadium on March 19, alongside the Zac Brown Band, Billy Currington and Uncle Kracker.

Chesney's one of the few American artists who can actually headline stadiums. He's done it before; in 2006, he brought Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Gretchen Wilson and Big & Rich to RayJay.

We talked to Chesney before that show. When we asked how he would judge whether a stadium tour was a success, he said:

I think the fans will tell us if it's a success or not. We played to over 47,000 people the other night in Seattle, and it took our breath away. That, to me, is a success. If the people are up having a great time, and we connect with them like we're supposed to, that would be a success to me. We'll probably do it again next year. If everything goes well, we're probably going to take it from six to eight to maybe 10.

According to WQYK, tickets are priced from $24-$250, and they're scheduled to go onsale at 10 a.m. Dec. 11 via Ticketmaster. We'll keep you posted on further details.
