Kick out the jams at Sertoma Youth Ranch with Orange Blossom Jamboree, Wake Up Florida

All of a sudden, the Sertoma Youth Ranch, near the Pasco-Hernando county line, is a breeding ground for interesting music.

This weekend's inaugural Orange Blossom Jamboree Music and Art Festival will beckon fans from the jam band culture with 25 acts scheduled to perform today through Sunday. Wake Up Florida, May 28-30, is touted as a multigenre sonic blowout featuring more than four dozen rock, punk and electronic artists on three stages.

There are no massive household names scheduled to perform, but a few artists might be familiar to local music fans (like Gainesville's 3rd Stone, above, who performed last weekend at Tropical Heatwave and will hit the Orange Blossom Jamboree this weekend, alongside local faves like Cope, Green Sunshine and Bride of Chaotica).

The Orange Blossom Jamboree Music and Art Festival is Friday through Sunday at Sertoma Youth Ranch: 2:30 p.m. to midnight Friday, 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. General admission is $40 at the gate and includes primitive camping. Click here for details.

The Wake Up Florida Music Festival is May 28-30 at the ranch, with performances scheduled from 7 a.m. to midnight each day on two stages. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the gate. Click here for details.
