'Kings of Bachata' Aventura perform Friday at Orlando's Amway Arena
If you're a Latin music fan, you've probably already bought your tickets and gassed up your car for the trek to see Aventura perform in Orlando. But in case you hadn't heard, the wildly popular bachata boy band plays Amway Arena at 8 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $65 to $85. Buy yours here.
Fronted by Anthony "Romeo" Santos, the self-described "Kings of Bachata" hit the Latin pop scene in 2002 with Obsesion ("Obsession"), which Frankie J later remade. (Back then, vocalist Toby Love was a member of the group.)
The Bronx-based foursome are wrapping up what's been a stellar year. Their recent singles Dile al Amor ("Tell Love") and Su Veneno ("Her Venom") are huge hits. And in October they brought their mix of Dominican, R&B and pop sounds to the White House. (Here they are performing on MTV's Mi TRL in 2007.)
The guys have said this will be their last series of concerts for awhile. In fact, their most recent album and this tour are both titled The Last. So if you're a diehard Aventua fan, round up your amigos and book it to O-Town.
