Kings of Leon coming to the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre in Tampa

Pollstar is reporting, and their website seems to be confirming, that Kings of Leon are on their way back to Tampa.

The Southern-rock demigods are scheduled to perform at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre in Tampa on Aug. 2. Details are slim at this point, but Kings of Leon's website says tickets will go onsale to the general public May 13. No word on openers, but it does look like Band of Horses will be opening at least one date on this tour. We'll update you when we know more.

We attended Kings of Leon's show last fall at the Amphitheatre, and it was a doozy (though the fact that the Black Keys opened up was definitely a plus). Click here for our review.

One possible reason the Kings are coming back to Tampa so soon: Maybe singer Caleb Followill wants to revisit the scene of his engagement. Awww.
