Lebowski Fest coming to Tampa

It's a great day to love bowling, White Russians and rugs that tie rooms together. (Actually, when isn't it a good day to love those things?)

Lebowski Fest is coming to Tampa.

Tampa's first-ever tribute to the Coen Brothers flick The Big Lebowski will take place Feb. 25-26, with a party at the Ritz Ybor and a night of bowling at University Lanes.

Lebowski Fests have popped up in cities around the country in the past decade. There was even one in Orlando last year; click here for a recap and photos. Our brother in blogdom, Steve Persall, is more of a Lebowski Fest achiever than we could ever hope to be, so we'll let him explain exactly what it is.

All we know is that this will be tons of fun. We've always felt a kinship with this movie, because we, like the Dude, hate the f---ing Eagles, man.
