Led Zeppelin coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall (well, sort of)
Calm down, everyone. It's not THAT Led Zeppelin. But it is A Led Zeppelin.
Something called "Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience" is coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall on Nov. 14, according to the venue's website. Jason, of course, is the son of the late Led Zep drummer John Bonham, and he's performed with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page on occasion, including Led Zep's big reunion show in 2007. So he's "in" Led Zeppelin more than you or me, that's for sure.
But let's face it: This is a tribute act. Bonham himself has admitted it.
“This was a tough one for me, because I never imagined myself doing something like that,” he told Rolling Stone. “The people that put on the Beatles tribute show Rain approached me, and made me realize that I could do this while continuing to feed my own creativity and not feeling like a sell-out.”
Good luck with that, Jason. And here's hoping you actually show up this time.
Tickets are $32.50-$59.50. Click here.
