Leonard Cohen coming to the St. Pete Times Forum

Huge news for fans of indie singer-songwriterism: Leonard Cohen has announced the second leg of dates for his first U.S. tour in 15 years, and Tampa is on the list.

According to, Cohen will come to the St. Pete Times Forum on Oct. 19, two days after his tour begins in Sunrise. The 74-year-old Canadian legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer -- perhaps best known for writing Hallelujah, which might be the most-covered indie folk song in history -- drew raves for his concerts earlier this year in New York and elsewhere.

No ticket info was immediately available, but we'll post it as soon as we get it from the Forum.
