Ludacris, the Wayans Brothers headlining USF's 2012 Homecoming festivities
Right around 2002, Ludacris was making his way in the mainstream with smash singles like Rollout (My Business), Move Bitch and Saturday (Oooh! Ooooh!). No doubt many 2002 graduates of the University of South Florida heard a lot of those singles at their senior-year keggers.
So it's fitting that Ludacris will headline this year's USF Homecoming festivities, which will mark the 10-year reunion for that class. This year's festivities are slated for Oct. 22-27 in and around the USF community. Luda will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 26 the USF Meadows, at the corner of N 50th Street and USF Holly Drive. Past USF Homecoming shows have been free and open to the public; it wasn't immediately clear whether this one is, too, but we'll let you know.
Other homecoming week highlights:
-- The Wayans Brothers, Shawn and Marlon, will perform at the USF Sun Dome on Oct. 23.
-- There's a USF Carnival with games and rides from 4 to 10 p.m. Oct. 25 and 26 at the USF Meadows. Friday's carnival will include a parade at 6 p.m. and, of course, the Ludacris concert at 8 p.m.
-- On Saturday, Oct. 27, the USF Bulls play the Syracuse Orange at Raymond James Stadium.
