Luke Bryan coming to the Dallas Bull

Clearwater's TerraFerma like to say they play "metal you can actually enjoy." To vocalist Beau "General Rambo" Brady, that means actually enunciating your lyrics.

"Personally we think the singers and vocalists that tried to incorporate real singing ability fell short and figured that screaming and growing every word would make up for their lack of skill," Brady said.

TerraFerma -- Brady, guitarist Gregg Heslin, drummer Chris Smith and bassist James Armstrong -- play straight-up heavy rock, a la Disturbed or Sevendust. They've recorded tracks live, as well as at the Candy Factory, a studio operated by Clearwater metal group Crossbreed.

TerraFerma will play with Catalysis, Dead Heroes, Sledgegrinder and Verse at 8 p.m. Friday (Sept. 11) at Gasoline Alley, 14042 66th St. N, Largo. Tickets are $6.

Click here to listen to their track Stick In My Eye, a track about "government and political B.S.," says Brady, and "the feeling of being held down and having a stick shoved right in your eye. Yeah, pretty twisted, huh?"
