Matt and Kim coming to Czar in Tampa
It's always an event when Matt Johnson and Kim Schifino come to your town, as you know if you attended Matt and Kim's rapturous October concert at the State Theatre in St. Petersburg. From our review:
They closed the night out with their breakthrough hit Daylight, saying that this song was for the people that had a bad day, week or year. The crowd had been more than into it for about 90 minutes now, but this song was the tipping point. The crowd was drowning out the band; everyone was dancing and jumping around. It was pure bliss for Matt and Kim and everyone there.
So we are THRILLED! ECSTATIC! SUPER-DUPER-CHEERY-DANCEY HAPPY! to inform you that the ultra-energetic indie-pop duo is coming back to Tampa Bay this summer. According to their website, Matt and Kim will perform at Czar in Tampa on June 7, days before trekking up to Bonnaroo. Showtime is listed as 8 p.m., tickets are listed at $20. U.K. fun-lovers The Thermals will open.
This won't be M&K's first trip to Czar. They also performed there in 2009. Click here for a review.
