Mayhem Festival, Kaskade, other concerts still on after storms damage 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre

Powerful thunderstorms ripped through Tampa on Tuesday, leaving damage to a number of homes and businesses -- including one of the biggest concert venues in Tampa Bay.

The 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre saw a handful of panels ripped from a sound barrier between the venue and Interstate 4, as well as scattered damage to signs, fences, trash cans and outdoor bathrooms.

This isn't a great week for the Gary to endure that kind of damage. On Friday, the Mayhem Festival will bring Slipknot, Slayer, Anthrax, Motorhead and more for a day full of metal at the venue. A short walk away, DJ/producer Kaskade will perform inside the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall, where some debris was also reported.

Next week, the Gary will host Barenaked Ladies (July 17), Dave Matthews Band (July 18) and 311 with Slightly Stoopid (July 20).

On Tuesday, a statement from the venue read: "There was an unexpected weather event at the 1 800 Ask Gary Amphitheater today. There were no events scheduled for (Tuesday) and we are currently assessing the damage. As of now, the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival on Friday will continue as planned." We're still waiting on an update regarding Wednesday's storms; we'll keep you posted.

Assuming there are no cancellations, here's a look at the set times for Mayhem 2012. Find out what time Slipknot and others go onstage -- and get a few more of Luis Santana's photos of the storm damage to the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre -- after the jump.
