Miranda Cosgrove talks 'iCarly,' working with Weezer and Steve Carell vs. Jack Black

She's been a Hollywood player since she was a toddler. She's one of the highest-paid teen stars ever, making a reported $180,000 per episode of cable smash iCarly — her second major hit on Nickelodeon. At just 17, she's a spokeswoman for Neutrogena. And now she's embarking on a pop career, with a tour stop at the Tampa Theatre on Wednesday.

She's more popular than Miley Cyrus, more famous than Lindsay Lohan. So why isn't Miranda Cosgrove screwed up? Or, at the very least, why do the tabloids, so thirsty to catch young stars being naughty, leave her alone?

"I think it's a mix of luck and that I live a little outside of L.A.," says Cosgrove, calling from a tour stop in New Jersey. "I have a core group of friends, and my two best friends I've known since kindergarten. I definitely go out. But my favorite thing to do is to stay home and throw sleepovers."

Cosgrove and opener Greyson Chance perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Tampa Theatre. $39.50-$99.50. Click here for details.
