More bad news for Jannus Landing: Motorhead, All Time Low, Robin Trower, Johnny Winter move concerts
No sooner had we posted this update about Jannus Landing's push to reclaim its status in the local concert scene did we receive word that more shows are fleeing the venue.
And when it comes to Jannus Landing these days, when it rains, it pours.
Motorhead (along with Reverend Horton Heat and Nashville Pussy) is moving to the Ritz Ybor on Sept. 15. Robin Trower, above, is moving his show from Jannus to the Ritz Ybor on Oct. 16. And Johnny Winter will take his Oct. 8 show up the street to the State Theatre.
And then a biggie: Pop-punk rising stars All Time Low, We the Kings and Hey Monday will soon announce that they're moving their show from Jannus to the Ritz Ybor, said Dave Hundley of No Clubs Promotions, one of the promoters involved with that show. (At least two of the other shows are being promoted by Rob Douglas, Jannus Landing's longtime concert promoter, who left the venue two weeks ago.)
All of these shows are still listed on Jannus Landing's concert calendar, but John C. "Jack" Bodziak confirmed that they have all moved.
Ticketholders for the Motorhead and Robin Trower shows are asked to exchanege their tickets through Ticketmaster; see RitzYbor.com for details. You can also exchange your Johnny Winter tickets through Ticketmaster, or if you bought them at Daddy Kool records, you can exchange them there. If you bought them at Detroit Liquors, you'll need to get a refund and buy new tickets. Head to the State Theatre's Web site for details about the Johnny Winter show.
