Ne-Yo headlining Derek Jeter's celebrity bash Wednesday at the Hard Rock

When you're a five-time world champion and Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year, you can pretty much do anything you want. Like have Ne-Yo perform at your party.

The three-time Grammy winner will headline a kickoff party Wednesday for the seventh annual Derek Jeter Celebrity Golf Classic at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Among the expected guests at Jeter's suaree: Michael Jordan, John Cena, Kevin Connolly, Ryan Howard, Derrick Brooks, James Blake, Natalie Gulbis, Bruce Smith, Richard Dent, Goose Gossage and many, many more.

If you're wondering why you didn't get an Evite to the party, excuse us while we spew chocolate milk from our noses in laughter. You were not invited to this party. But you CAN buy tickets for $500 a head at the Hard Rock gift shop. (Click here for details.)

If you don't have that kind of scratch to throw around, you might, just might, be able to spot some celebrities from the red carpet, which begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Plus, we bet some of Jeter's friends will pop into the casino from time to time. You didn't hear it from us, but here's a little secret you might not know: Michael Jordan likes to gamble. No, it's true! So you have a pretty good chance of spotting him in the casino. (Just be prepared to get tossed out when you try to hassle him for a photo or autograph.)

The golf tournament, which takes place Friday at Avila Golf and Country Club, is not, as it turns out, designed to raise money for Jeter's 31,000-square-foot-home on Davis Islands. Rather, it's for his Turn 2 Foundation, benefitting the young people of our great nation.
