Never Shout Never coming to the Ritz Ybor in Tampa

All you fans of The Maine who are headed to their show tonight at the State Theatre, guess what? You're getting a sneak preview of a big tour coming to Tampa this fall.

The Maine will open up for Never Shout Never on the latter's fall tour, which is scheduled to hit the Ritz Ybor on Nov. 6, according to their website. I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business and Carter Hulsey are also on the bill. Tickets are $17.50-$20, and they're scheduled to go onsale Aug. 21. Click here to purchase. And click here for details on the tour.

Opinions on Never Shout Never, the brainchild of Christofer Drew Ingle, are mixed. His music -- a blend of Beatlesy southern pop filtered through a pair of skinny jeans -- is catchy, even if you don't dig his voice.

Still, the girly-girls all love Ingle, and as a result, he was arguably the breakout star of this summer's Warped Tour. When Warped came to St. Pete in July, we wrote:

Almost immediately, the screams for Christofer Drew Ingle were deafening, and the flashbulbs from the crowd must have been blinding to him. ... He and his band are quite musically talented, and Ingle is a totally engaging stage presence. Never Shout Never is still under the radar for now, but they're only one mainstream hit away from breaking into the big time.

They may not have a mainstream hit yet, but they're already moving up in venue size. Expect this one to sell out.
