New Edition (including Bobby Brown) coming to the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa

Well, this certainly is some, um, interesting timing.

A day after Whitney Houston was laid to rest in New Jersey, it was announced that her ex-husband, Bobby Brown, and his band, New Edition, are gearing up for a "love ballad-filled 30th Anniversary Tour," and it will hit the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa on May 4. Tickets are $52.50, $63.50 and $125, and they go onsale Friday. Click here.

Lately, Brown has been the subject of even more eyebrow-raising than usual. First, he went ahead with a New Edition concert hours after finding out Houston had died. Then on Saturday, he reportedly left Houston's funeral after a spat about the size of his entourage.

That said, if you can put aside any questions about Brown's character aside, this should be a unique show. All six members of New Edition have reunited for this tour: Brown, Johnny Gill, Ricky Bel, Mike Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe and Ralph Tresvant. It's the original 1980s boy band, and they'll be performing not only New Edition songs (Candy Girl, Can You Stand The Rain), but also some of their post-supergroup hits (like Brown's My Prerogative and Bel Biv DeVoe's Poison). It'll be like an MTV Party to Go album come to life.

How do you guys feel about Brown grabbing today's headlines with this news?
