New Set It Off video: 'Pages & Paragraphs'

Set It Off deserve credit for being one of the hardest-working, biggest-dreaming local bands of 2009, touring the country, landing a gig at the Warped Tour and seriously boosting their online presence. Right now, they're campaigning to be named Associated Press' unsigned band of the year.

The video for Pages & Paragraphs, from their Calm Before the Storm EP, was filmed in September at the Neptune Lounge and Eco Bean in Tarpon Springs. It's mostly live performance, with some acting in there somewhere. While no one will mistake the clip for a Michel Gondry joint, the colors are bright, the fans are into it, and the acting isn't terrible. Plus, we learn a fun hand signal for "heart."

Set It Off has a big hometown headlining show Sunday night at the State Theatre in St. Pete. The gig starts at 6 p.m.; openers include Hello Alaska, One Way and Oh Clemency. Tickets are $10-$12. Go here for details.
