-- Galactic is coming to the Ritz Ybor on Jan. 2.

-- Speaking of the Ritz, trip-hoppers Thievery Corporation are playing there on Friday. The official after party, with musical guests Ancient Astronauts, follows the concert at the Roosevelt up the street. Click here for details.

-- Crystal Antlers, anyone? They're coming to Crowbar Dec. 11.

-- So is Gil Mantera's Party Dream, on Thanksgiving night.

-- Former Soundcheck Artist of the day EmberLasting has just completed a new 11-track LP. Here's how to get your copy.

-- You want free tickets to the Monster Mosh '09 concert Oct. 30 at Club Firestone in Orlando. Mr. Bella wants to give them to you. Why don't the two of you hook up?

-- Speaking of Club Firestone, Orlando Weekly says its name has been changed to Firestone Live.

-- What have we been telling you people? Tampa's GreyMarket went to the PLAY:stl Festival in St. Louis, and straight-up rocked the joint. "Without a doubt, this Tampa electronic-rock duo wore the crown of the fest," wrote a reviewer. "Who could have believed two guys would make such a production? ... This is arena-sized rock on a small stage...but not for long." Here's the review. Like we've said, you need to catch these guys before they move on to bigger and better things.

-- Another Soundcheck favorite, Matt Hires, recently performed for WGN in Chicago. Click here for the video.

-- Speaking of video, check out this video interview the Postmarks did with Blender.

-- Not doing anything tonight? Check out a free acoustic set by Clearwater's Set It Off at the Countryside Mall Hot Topic in Clearwater, before they head off on a nationwide tour.

-- Finally, it must be said: DJ Sandman's Wu-Tang pumpkin is pretty dope.
