-- Set It Off, above, have been keeping on their grind all year. On Thursday, they're shooting a video in Tarpon Springs, first at the Eco Bean Coffee House from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., then at the Neptune Lounge from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

-- Lovin' this lineup: "No-fi" newcomer and blog-favorite-of-the-moment Neon Indian with SUNBEARS!, Oct. 13 at Crowbar. Tickets are $10.

-- Would you call the Mojo Gurus "classic rock?" Apparently Classic Rock magazine thinks so. Their song I Can't Stand to Hear That Song Again was just named the mag's Song of the Day.

-- Tampa folk singer Sheila Kirsten Hughes has just passed the 100,000 views mark on her YouTube channel. Well done!

-- Tampa punks Safety are playing at The Fest this year in Gainesville. (Although, geez, who ISN'T playing The Fest?)

-- Jeremy Gloff's new album, 21st Century Love Songs, comes out Nov. 14 ... but if you pre-order, you'll get a *.zip file with all the tracks on Nov. 1. You can't beat that deal with a stick!

-- Is that a Matt Hires song in the commercial for the new Clive Owen movie, The Boys Are Back? Why yes, we think it is.
