News: Rebelution, Colt Ford, more Ford Amphitheatre discounts

-- Reggae rockers Rebelution are coming to the State Theatre on Aug. 28. Tickets are $15, and they go on sale here on Saturday.

-- Been a while since we've heard from our old friends in Tailgunner Joe and the Earls of Slander. What have they been up to? Oh, nothing much. Just touring with GenXX, playing with High School Musical's touring stage show and meeting with label execs. The usual.

-- Also coming to the state: budding country star Colt Ford, with Thomas Wynn and the Believers, July 3. Tickets are $19.99. Get 'em here.

-- Recent Soundcheck Artists of the Day Glasgow are gearing up for the release of their first EP in late August, early September. And Lakeland's Woodale have finished a new EP, and are slapping together an acoustic EP.

-- Retard-O-Bot's gonna let you listen to their new demos ... as soon as they get 500 Twitter followers.

-- Guitarist Tim McTague says: Despite what you may have heard, ain't no beef between Underoath and Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica or Escape the Fate. Please carry on with your day.

-- Live Nation just keeps bringing the discounts. On Wednesday only, they're dropping service fees on all four-pack discounted tickets, meaning you could save up to 40 percent on bundled tickets to shows like Kenny Chesney, Dave Matthews Band and Coldplay. You've got to buy them online, right here.
