OFF!'s Keith Morris talks aging as a punk, playing on the beach and 'My Career as a Jerk'

Keith Morris has roots in two of punk's pioneering bands, Black Flag and the Circle Jerks. His new punk supergroup, OFF!, plays the State Theatre on Tuesday.

But before that, he has a gig at the DeLuna Music Festival in Pensacola Beach. And that should be a lot different from his usual dark club shows.

"It's like a party, and when you go to a party, I don't want to see guys dressed in black," he said. "I don't want to see girls dressed in black … I want to see some miniskirts, I want to see some hot pants. I want to see some rubber boots, I want to see some floppy hats."

OFF! performs with Negative Approach and Double Negative at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the State Theatre, 687 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. $16-19. Click here for details.
