Paper Tongues headlining 93.3 FLZ's 'Meet Ball' at The Venue in Clearwater

Paper Tongues is not what you'd call a traditionally romantic band. At the very least, we think they'd take a backseat to Kris Allen in the hot-dirty-lovin' department.

But what do we know? On Feb. 12, Paper Tongues will follow in Allen's footsteps by playing the 93.3 FLZ Meet Ball at the Venue in Clearwater. The event is free, and described as a "singles-only event" for ages 21 and up. Expect a short performance, probably of the acoustic variety. Click here for details.

And who knows? Just like last year, maybe you could meet the man and/or woman of your dreams. If so, you could pick a Paper Tongues song as your first-dance wedding song. Or what about this -- they could play Ride to California, and then you could actually ride to California to get married. YOUR MIND = EXPLODED, you're welcome.

Also, side note: Is there any event in Tampa Bay that Paper Tongues WON'T play? 98 Rockfest, The 97X Backyard BBQ, the Bucs' season kickoff party, 97X Next Big Thing ... it's like all you have to do is park a radio station van outside your event, and these guys will show up. What gives?
