Phoenix coming to the House of Blues in Orlando

Take the entire lineup of, say, Coachella or Lollapalooza. Have every single act schedule a concert in Tampa or Orlando.

That's pretty much what October looks like at this point.

First came announcements of October concerts by Vampire Weekend, The National, Yeasayer, MGMT and too many others to count. Today we're getting word that French rockers Phoenix, of the inescapable hits 1901 and Lisztomania, are coming to the House of Blues in Orlando on Oct. 26, according to their website.

(Come on, Arcade Fire! You don't have any shows scheduled for October! You're the only holdout at this point!)

We don't have a price on tickets to the Oct. 26 Phoenix show yet, but it does look like they'll go onsale via Ticketmaster this Saturday (7/31). No word on openers, but we do know that Dirty Projectors and Wavves are opening for Phoenix on Oct. 20 at Madison Square Garden in New York, so that's a possibility. We'll update you when we know more.

At the moment, this is Phoenix's only listed concert between Oct. 20 (New York) and Nov. 17 (Chile). Which means (fingers crossed) that they might be plotting more Florida shows in October.

Is it possible? Dare we even suggest it? Might we get an appearance by Phoenix in Tampa?

Hey, Vampire Weekend is playing both Orlando and St. Petersburg. Anything is possible.

Especially this October.
