Photos: Dia Frampton brings her 'Voice' (and sister Meg) to the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater
It must be strange for fans of alternapop duo Meg & Dia to see what has become of Dia Frampton. Once, she was the singer of a pretty well-received, if not hugely famous, alternapop duo that played the Warped Tour. But then Dia had to go and finish second on the first season of NBC's The Voice, and now the music biz is all about Dia Framps.
So when Frampton came to the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater Sunday night, it was no doubt heartening for Meg & Dia fans to see big sister Meg on guitar, even if Dia was now the main star of the show. She called one of the 225 audience members in the crowd up onstage for a serenade, and said the band learned Creedence Clearwater Revival's Proud Mary simply so they could play it in Clearwater.
After the jump, check out some of Kevin Tighe's photos of Dia Frampton and her opening act, Andrew Allen.
