When we saw Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan's side band Puscifer at Bonnaroo on June 10 (click here for a review), the band had a technically odd setup, with several video screens (including one that mostly obscured Keenan), and airline crew costumes for the entire band. So we had no idea what to expect when Puscifer played the Straz Center in Tampa on Monday night. But it looks like they went with a more countryish setup, with a faux backyard barbecue and the drummer in the back of a truck. It was a good fit for the always-odd Keenan and Puscifer, whose rhythmic Southern Gothic metal can lumber through the speakers like a T.Rex.
