Pitbull out, Bo Burnham in at USF's homecoming parade on Friday
If you can’t get megaplatinum rapper for your concert, go with ... a quirky teenage YouTube phenomenon. Huh?
Yes, the University of South Florida announced Thursday that, Pitbull, the headliner of this year’s homecoming parade, had to pull out due to a hand injury suffered in a car accident. His replacement will be comic Bo Burnham, who has a cult following for geeky piano-pop ditties like I’m Bo Yo and New Math, above.
So instead of hearing lines like “Forget about your boyfriend and meet me at the hotel room,” you’ll hear lines like “What’s a pirate minus the ship? Just a creative homeless guy / and an anteater plus a large hungry mutant ant? An ironic way to die.” Just as good, right?
