Push Ultra Lounge pushes into the local scene with 'Rock Wednesdays'

The last time we saw a show at Push Ultra Lounge in St. Petersburg, we came away thinking it could be a great live music venue ... if only they'd book the right acts.

The venue badly wants a piece of the live music game. They've shown as much with appearances by the Airborne Toxic Event, Julian Marley, Chris McCarty and the Paradiso Girls.

Now they're taking things further with live music once a week, from 9 to 11 p.m. on Wednesdays. They're calling it "Rock Wednesdays," and they're kicking things off this week with one of Soundcheck's favorite local bands: GreyMarket, above.

Future shows include Dave Matthews Tribute Band on Sept. 2 and the Benjy Davis Project with Curtis Peoples on Sept. 9.

All shows are free, and 21 and up. Click here for details.
