Record Store Day: The concerts, the special releases and the scene at Tampa Bay record stores
This Saturday is Record Store Day, that extraordinary day when we put down our iPods and hang out in brick-and-mortar independent record stores across the country. How quaint.
They do make it worth your while, though, with live music and some cool releases only available at stores, including limited-edition discs by Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Lady Gaga and more. With Tampa’s Vinyl Fever biting the dust in January, we have all the more reason to visit about the stores left standing.
Sean Daly has rounded up some of his top picks for this year's top special releases, including vinyl editions by Ryan Adams, Regina Spektor, the White Stripes and more. Click here for his take on Record Store Day.
