Review and photos: The Jingle Ball rocks, and bores, at the St. Pete Times Forum

Sean Daly
planned to check out Sunday's 93.3 Jingle Ball at the St. Pete Times Forum because he wanted to see the Ting Tings. When the Ting Tings dropped out, though, he was left with a whole lotta pop ... and a whole lotta Adam Lambert.

He had love for Pitbull, Ke$ha and Jordin Sparks. He was a little less than impressed with 3OH!3, Boys Like Girls, Iyaz and the Fray (above).

"Accompanied by 4,493 16-year-old girls, I glumly sat through a cavalcade of utterly disposable, inherently '09 also-rans, most of whom were given meager minutes on a bare stage before being kicked off in favor of another act equally desperate to stay on the radio longer than Right Said Fred," he writes. "Oy. If I never hear someone shout "Make some noise!" again, it'll be too soon."
