Review / photos: Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan bring country-fried rock to the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheater in Tampa
Another year, another sold-out gig at Tampa's 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre for Jason Aldean, proving his worth as country's hottest, most bankable male talent. Throw in Luke Bryan, and you've got the recipe for a thoroughly 21st century rock 'n' roll hoedown.
Sean Daly was among the 20,000 fans in attendance, and he writes:
Aldean is considerably more traditional than Bryan — and a little less hyper and hammy too. A la the titular hero of opening number Johnny Cash, Aldean cuts an intimidating figure. He might give a smirk here, a fist pump there, but mainly he just stands oak-like behind the mike and delivers the goods.
