Maybe you haven't been paying attention. But maybe you should. Because the Hawaiian Village club at the Stadium Green Iguana in Tampa -- an otherwise straightforward venue attached to an old Days Inn on Dale Mabry Highway -- is starting to become a player in the Tampa Bay concert scene.

So far, they've booked shows by DJ Paul Oakenfold, Ziggy Marley, Rob Base and Yellowman. Above is a shot from a DayGlow paint party that took place there in 2010; another one is set for Sept. 9.

But the biggest show yet is scheduled for Monday. That's when the Rock Allegiance Tour, with Buckcherry, P.O.D., Papa Roach, Puddle of Mudd and more, hits the Hawaiian Village. And in November, Gwar will hit the stage. Yes, GWAR.

"There's gonna be a lot of shock and awe about some of the shows that are gonna be there," said promoter Harry Tiyler, without naming names. "There are gonna be some head-turning shows similar to this Rock Allegiance show."
