Rod Stewart cancels South Florida concert due to flu; Tampa show still on

Rod Stewart may be as rakish a gentleman as you're likely to find in rock 'n' roll. But even dapper young dandies like Rod get the flu.

That's what happened this weekend, as Stewart and Stevie Nicks had to cancel Sunday's concert at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise. "Rod Stewart has the flu forcing the cancellation," says his website.  (And no, before you ask, he did NOT have to be rushed to the hospital to get his stomach pumped. Where did you even hear that?)

This is all newsworthy because Stewart and Nicks' next show is scheduled for Wednesday at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa. A publicist told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that the Tampa show is still on for now. Must be one of those three-day flus.
