Sean Paul cancels Saturday's concert at Jannus Live

If you're a fan of hip-hop, this just isn't your week. First Plies cancels his show at Club Skye. Now Jamaican dancehall king Sean Paul is pulling out of Saturday night's show at Jannus Live.

Citing medical reasons, Paul called in to Wild 94.1 this morning to break the news to fans.

"I'm disappointed," he said, coughing, "but the doc says I need to chill out for a sec, so I had to postpone a couple of shows, you guys included. It's something that I never really like to do."

Paul sounded sincerely bummed about the cancellation, and insisted he would come back soon.

"I'm sorry, and I definitely will reschedule and come around and play again," he said. "They've just advised me I need to take a little break. ... I just want everyone to know that I'm going to be back in form soon, and come rock the place for y'all. I can't leave Tampa alone. I got a love affair with your ladies over there."

However, in an official announcement, Jannus Live officials didn't sound optimistic about a make-up concert. "No new dates have been offered and the artist’s management said that none were being planned for the time being. Refunds are available at point of purchase."
