We're not sure how new this news is, but we just found out about it, so here you go: Serj Tankian of System of a Down has canceled a concert that was scheduled for Oct. 7 at the Mahaffey Theater.

No explanation was given on the Mahaffey's website. On his own site, Tankian writes:

After two consecutive European tours and full promotion schedule, Serj regretfully announces that he will postpone his upcoming fall tour until a later date, after the release of his upcoming album. Ticket holders can receive refunds for their tickets at their point of purchase.

Considering this was a Soundcheck WTF Concert of the Year candidate, maybe it just wasn't selling that well.
