SoundBytes: Amos Lee, Jeff Beck, Minus the Bear and more

-- Singer-songwriter Amos Lee, above, will return to Clearwater for what's becoming an annual tradition: A performance at the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater. The gig is May 20 at Ruth Eckerd Hall; tickets go onsale Friday for $29-$45. Click here.

-- Due to overwhelming demand, guitar legend Jeff Beck has added a second show at Ruth Eckerd Hall. His May 7 gig is sold out, but you can soon buy tickets to a gig May 6. Tickets are $41-$61. Click here for details.

-- Minus The Bear put on a fantastic show at the Ritz Ybor in 2010 (click here for a review). You can welcome them back to the Ritz on May 25. Tickets go onsale at 10 a.m. March 25. Tickets are $19.99. Click here.

-- Last year, Richard Marx played his first-ever solo acoustic show at the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater. As Stuck in the '80s will happily tell you, it was a phenomenal show. So it's good news that he's returning to the Capitol Theatre on May 13. Click here for details.

-- WORST NEWS EVER: The live Pawn Stars event, scheduled for May 14 at the Straz Center in Tampa, has been canceled. Refunds available at point of purchase, or if you purchased with a credit card, you'll be automatically refunded.

-- Tampa's own Miggs is going on tour with KT Tunstall! That's pretty impressive. Of course, they're not coming to Tampa, so oh well. Click here for dates.

-- Interesting venue alert: Rock-soul singer-songwriter Nic Cowan is performing with Chris McCarty at the Postcard Inn on the Beach in St. Pete Beach. There are two shows -- 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday (3/26) and 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday (3/27). A $15 VIP ticket gets you two free drinks and access to a party by Barefoot Wine. Click here for details.

-- One of Soundcheck's unexpectedly favorite acts of 2010, The Maine, is coming to Orlando's House of Blues on May 17 with Augustana.

-- And so it begins: Push Ultra Lounge is saying they've got the official Grey Goose/Lady Gaga afterparty following Gaga's concert April 16 at the St. Pete Times Forum. And the Ritz Ybor is saying they've got the ultimate Lady Gaga/Britney Spears impersonator afterparty. Anyone else know of any hot Lady Gaga afterparties worth noting? Send us the info.

-- It hurt when Pinetop Perkins had to miss his February concert at Skipper's Smokehouse due to inclement weather in Texas. It hurts even more now. The 97-year-old blues master died this week.
