-- This'll be a big show in more ways than one: According to Ticketmaster, rapper Big Sean is coming to the Ritz Ybor on Dec. 8, alongside Cyhi Da Prynce, Shawn Chrystopher and Lunden. Ticket prices haven't been announced, but they're expected to go onsale Friday. Click here.
-- Three shows were announced this morning for Ruth Eckerd Hall and the Capitol Theatre: Tedeschi Trucks Band on Dec. 29 (tickets are $29.50-$75; click here), Howie Mandel on Jan. 4 at the Capitol Theatre ($69-$85; click here) and the Byrds' Roger McGuinn on March 17 at the Capitol Theatre ($39-$49; click here).
-- It looks like Van Wilson -- the local Van Halen tribute supergroup comprised of actor Patrick Wilson, WTVT-Ch. 13 reporter Mark Wilson and local advertising honcho Paul Wilson -- is planning a rare concert at the Local 662 in St. Petersburg on Oct. 15. We were there for the brothers' last show, and we can verify it's not to be missed. Details are scant, but keep an eye out here.
