SoundBytes: David Gray, Dashboard Confessional, the Wailers and more

-- Hey, remember when that song Babylon was absolutely freaking EVERYWHERE? Well, get ready for a major late-'90s flashback, because according to his Web site, David Gray is coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall on April 13. (Ruth Eckerd Hall hasn't confirmed it just yet, but we'll update you when we get info.)

-- Speaking of sensitive acoustic alternative singer-songwriters: Dashboard Confessional will open for Bon Jovi April 17 at the St. Pete Times Forum. That's right, Jersey hair metal meets Boca Raton emo. Because the one song everyone wants to hear before You Give Love A Bad Name is ... Screaming Infidelities. Should be happy times.

-- The Woodwork, who've been working on an album out in California for a while now, just posted a new Christmas song: Alone on Christmas. Think Fall Out Boy meets Band Aid. Catchy. Click here to give it a spin.

-- Legendary reggae band The Wailers are coming to the Ritz Ybor on Feb. 12. Tickets are $22.50-$25. Click here for details.

-- Ska/new-wave legends The English Beat plan to bring their tour with Fishbone and Outlaw Nation to the State Theatre on Feb. 18.

-- Marksmen 's new six-song EP, featuring the excellent song Blue & Grey, will be coming out soon. Here's a tracklist. By the way, at what point can we stop typing "Marksmen used to be Glasgow"? Surely the world knows by now, right?

-- Want to watch a live stream of Underoath's set this Saturday in Wisconsin? Click here.

-- Sondre Lerche is coming to the Social in Orlando, but no closer. The gig is Feb. 10; tickets are $15.

-- If you like comedy, Jan. 21-23 might be a nice weekend to spend in Miami. Those are the dates of the South Beach Comedy Festival, starring (among others) Brian Regan, Aziz Ansari, Joe Rogan, Mike Birbiglia, Gabriel Iglesias, Kevin Hart and Jon Lajoie. Tickets vary by performance; they go onsale Saturday through LiveNation.

-- If you're looking to buy Jonny Diaz's CD More Beautiful You in bulk this Christmas, boy, does Jonny Diaz have a deal for you.

-- Finally, what are you doing New Year's Eve? How does a GreyMarket/XOXO show at Crowbar strike your fancy?
