SoundBytes: Doobie Brothers, NeedToBreathe, Old 97's and more

-- Needtobreathe, above, were just in Tampa , opening for Taylor Swift at the St. Pete Times Forum. Opening for Taylor Swift can do a lot of things for you, it seems, because the band will be back in a couple of months for a gig Feb. 26 at the Ritz Ybor. Ben Rector will open the show. Tickets are $22-$37. Click here.

-- Also coming to the Ritz: Singer-songwriter Mat Kearney, who sang-songwrote such Grey's Anatomy-friendly hits as All I Need and Nothing Left to Lose. The show is Jan. 26; tickets are $20-$30. Click here

-- Nothing's official yet, but according to their website, the Doobie Brothers -- who just rocked Orlando Calling -- are coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall on Feb. 26.

-- The Old 97's rocked Skipper's Smokehouse the last time they came to Tampa Bay. Now they're hitting up the State Theatre. Look for Rhett Miller and company on Jan. 22, with openers Those Darlins. Pretty solid night of alternative country, right there. Tickets are $20-$23. Click here.
