SoundBytes: GZA, Shpongle, Reggie Watts and more




-- Another day, another dynamite hip-hop show at the Ritz Ybor. The Wu-Tang Clan's GZA will perform his 1995 solo album Liquid Swords in its entirety during an Oct. 10 show at the Ritz Ybor. Tickets are $24.50. Killer Mike, Sweet Valley and Bear Hands are also on the bill. Click here.

-- Are Microsoft Stores as cool as Apple Stores? No idea. But we do know that a new Microsoft Store is opening Aug. 16 at the Florida Mall in Orlando, and if you're one of the first people to show up, you can get a wristband for access to a performance by Flo Rida there on Aug. 18. -- DJ Steve Aoki is coming to the Amphitheatre on Aug. 28, headlining a Rock the Vote/StartUp RockOn concert at the Amphitheatre. It's free, but you need to RSVP to get in. Click here for all the details.

-- It's back-to-school time! At the University of Central Florida, students have a night of comedy (Reggie Watts and TJ Miller) on Aug. 21, and music (Andy Grammer and Outasight) on Aug. 23, both at the UCF Arena. Meanwhile, USF is still planning its annual Round-Up, slated for Aug. 30 at the Sun Dome.

-- Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will headline this year's Zoofari at Lowry Park Zoo. Tickets will go onsale in September.

-- The DayGlow Tour is ramping up for more fall shows, and Tampa was announced as a tour stop. However, there's no date or venue yet. But the dates so far have DJs like Steve Aoki, Chuckie and Felix Cartal already booked, so it could be a good one. We'll keep you posted.
