-- Speaking of great comedy shows: Anthony Jeselnik, famed for his cocky demeanor, dark but intelligent jokes and appearances on Comedy Central roasts, is coming to the Improv in Tampa Aug. 9-11. Click here.
-- Gospel singer Kim Burrell, a friend of Whitney Houston and mentor to artists like Faith Evans and Beyonce, is coming to Tampa on Aug. 11. She'll be performing at the Center for Manifestation Church, 3102 E Lake Ave., Tampa. Tickets are $15-$25. For info, click here.
-- In the wake of Tropical Storm Debby, the Suwannee Music Foundation is organizing a festival, the Suwannee Valley Flood Jam, to benefit flood victims in Suwannee, Hamilton and Columbia counties. It'll take place Aug. 17-18 at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak. Peter Rowan, the Lee Boys and Donna the Buffalo are among the headliners; some Tampa Bay acts, including the Applebutter Express and DJ Craig Heneveld, are also on the bill. Click here for info.
