SoundBytes: Jordin Sparks, Phish, Cute Is What We Aim For and more

-- Yes, that's our old pal Jordin Sparks hanging out at Busch Gardens over the weekend during a family vacation with her family. (Thanks to Busch Gardens for the photo.)

-- Why aren't Phish coming to Florida on their upcoming 29-city summer tour!??!??!? Oh, right -- they spent four nights in Miami in December.

-- Very solid pop-punk-emo show coming to the State Theatre on May 24: Cute Is What We Aim For with Friday Night Boys, the Bigger Lights and Down With Webster. Tickets are $13-$15. Click here for details.

-- Tampa rapper Shunda K. is playing some shows at South By Southwest.

-- What was Craig Ferguson doing on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge?

-- Of Montreal's show April 8 at the Ritz is one of this spring's 25 must-see Tampa Bay concerts. Now we know who the opener is: James Husband.

-- Every issue of Spin magazine is now on Google Books. We searched for "Tampa" to see what came up. We found this 2008 article about Tampa hip-hop duo Yo Majesty; this 1991 piece about Florida death metal; and this 1999 piece about the early (sketchy) days of Tampa hip-hop station WLLD (now Wild 94.1). But the real question is, does anyone remember what the hell the "Blaupunkt Tampa" was?
